(1) Subsystem cannot be started after power failure Item Description Contents When starting a subsystem after a power failure, either of the following phenomena may occur. <Phenomenon 1> Not started due to WCHK1 in all MPs <Phenomenon 2> MP in Fibre Channel CHA is blocked. When starting subsystem, if the version of micro-program stored in SM and that stored in FM are different, the micro-program stored in SM downloads. When downloading it, the micro- program stored in the FM downloaded due to a micro-program failure. Since the version of the running micro-program was different from that stored in the SM, the MP was blocked. As a result, when all CHA MPs are blocked, <Phenomenon 1> will occur, and when some of CHA MPs are blocked, <Phenomenon 2> will occur. Conditions With all conditions met, subsystems not started or MPs are blocked. (a) The RAID450 DKCMAIN micro-program version is 21-07-04-00/00 or later (b) In the SM module location “SM00”, DKC-F460I-S1024 DIMM installed. (Not configuration information, but hardware installation state) (c) DKCMAIN versions of micro-program stored in SM and that stored in FM are different. (*1) (d) SM non-volatile *1: With all the following conditions met, the versions are different (c-1) Fibre Channel CHA PCB (c-2) Perform Online micro-FC while Mode 161 is OFF (c-3) After micro-FC, the CHA PCB not replaced or installed (c-4) After micro-FC, PS/OFF not performed Category CHT Changed DKCMAIN
