 Introduction

The AIESEC International Exchange Program

AIESEC’s International Exchange Program is an opportunity for participants to develop their personal and
professional skills by participating in a high quality international learning experience. Participants work on
professional placements from 2 to 18 months, sharpening their skills by undertaking practical work experience in a
diverse cultural environment. The International Exchange Program aims to challenge the participants through
raising their awareness and knowledge of social issues and different practices of the host country/territory.

AIESEC is not a job agency and does not provide an opportunity where the sole purpose is to earn money. We
cannot cater for those looking for a particular placement in a particular country. This is also not an opportunity for a
career move abroad nor is AIESEC a vehicle for any person to permanently leave their country and AIESEC does
not encourage the extension of internships beyond the agreed limits. If the company/organization decides to
employ the intern on a permanent basis in the host country and/or territory, AIESEC will have no role in facilitating
this. If you receive a salary it will cover basic living costs. Whilst it is the aim for you to receive a salary, this is not
guaranteed with some placements being unpaid or only offering accommodation in exchange for work.

Application process

 1st round: Application Form

If your application is approved, we will contact you regarding the next step in the selection process.

 2nd, 3rd, and last round: Pre-interview, Group Discussion, and Student Review Board

23-24th October Pre-interview

Type of Traineeship:

Development Internship (DT) - The student has the opportunity to work in a company, NGO, government,
university or organization and will spend the majority of his/her time working in areas related to community
development issues. These areas may include children’s rights, environmental issues, education, rural development
and entrepreneurship.

Management Internship (MT) - The student has the opportunity to work in a company, NGO, government,
university or other organisation and will spend the majority of his/her time working in areas related to management.
These areas may include finance, accounting, marketing, project management, organisational management or
human resources.
