DBES--Fire Drill Procedures

1. Take clipboard with student roster and red/green

cards off wall.

2. Turn out lights.

3. Close classroom door.

4. Follow exit route posted by clipboard to grade

level location. Walk quickly and quietly.

5. Account for all children based on roster once

outside.

6. If missing anyone, report it to your station leader

using your red card. Green cards mean you have
all students.

7. If a student is with another staff member--i.e.

resource teacher, nurse, etc. –alert the station
leader

8. If a staff member has a student not on their roster,

notify a person with a walkie-talkie immediately
using your red card.
