Actors Theatre of Louisville: ​Education Manager...............................................................................February 2015-Current 
● Develop curriculum for the Kennedy Center’s VSA Playwright Discovery Program and other playwriting and preshow 
workshop opportunities, and teach grades 5-12 
● Coordinate all student matinee logistics and work with theatre staff and schools to ensure safety and engagement at 
school performances, which see over 15,000 students a year 
● Manage Actors Theatre’s community relationships with schools and nonprofit and community groups 
● Curate and manage the College Days undergraduate theatre festival, a part of the Humana Festival of New American 
Plays, which attracts over 400 guests a year 
● Hire, train and mentor two apprentices during each season, and coordinate feedback and work responsibilities 
● Read and select plays for the New Voices Young Playwrights Festival, which receives over 800 submissions annually 
● Mentor playwrights in the New Voices Young Playwrights Festival, and direct a production each year 
● Maintain the day-to-day budget of the department, track receivables and payables, submit purchase orders and mileage 
reports, and monitor the annual expected revenue and expenses, each over $60,000 a year 
● Serve on Equity, Diversity and Inclusion cohort and make policy recommendations to leadership 
● Report on qualitative and quantitative statistics for the department and work with fundraising to apply for grants and 
additional opportunities to promote Actors Theatre’s work both locally and on the national scale 
● Represent Actors Theatre at national, regional and local conferences and consortiums and present on best practices 
● Develop education marketing materials, including two educational brochures a year, flyers, and mailings 
● Manage the department’s portion of Actors Theatre’s website

independent teaching artists, classroom guests, and education interns

● Schedule pre-show workshops for the entire department for three mainstage shows and exceed the expectations for 
the number of workshops scheduled  
● Conduct pre-show, stage-makeup, and playwriting workshops in schools across Kentucky and Southern Indiana, 
contributing to a record number of workshops for the Student Matinee Series  
● Research and write articles for three study guides, compile and manage the content, and collaborate on the execution  
● Coordinate the arrival of schools at student matinees with the house manager and stage manager, monitor student 
behavior, and give curtain speeches 
● Assist in the New Voices Contest and Festival, including reading and evaluating over one hundred student 
submissions, serving on the selection committee, and directing one of the selected New Voices works 
● Moderate post-show discussions with audiences following performances of ​ReEntry ​and ​The Ver**on Play 
● Design and moderate a series of panel discussions for the Humana Festival College Days Weekend
