High Range Water-Reducing, Set-Retarding Concrete Admixture

Product Description Chemrite 540 is a highly effective superplasticiser for
producing concrete with substantial water-reduction for
achieving high early and ultimate strengths. Chemrite 540
complies with ASTM C -494 Type A, F & G.

Uses Chemrite 540 is used wherever high quality concrete is
demanded under difficult placing and climatic conditions.
Specially suitable for heavily reinforced concrete.

Application
_______________________________________________________________________________
Dosage 0.8 – 1.5% by weight of cement. Exact dosage rates are
dependant on the type of cement, water/cement ratio and
ambient environment. It is advisable to carry out trial
mixes.

Compatibility Chemrite 540 is compatible with all types of Portland
cement, including S.R.C. and pozzolanic additives like
Silica Fume, Fly Ash, Slag etc.

Dispensing Chemrite 540 can be added separately to the freshly mixed
concrete or preferably to the mixing water prior to its
addition to the dry mixture. When added separately to the
freshly mixed concrete, further mixing should take place
for at least one minute per cubic meter.

Important When accidental overdosing occurs, the set retarding effect
ay occur. During this period the concrete must be kept
moist in order to prevent premature drying out.
