According to the given problems the perfect height is not
given so we assume at the down of the height h =8.6 m drop.
At start position the total energy is equal to the kinetic energy and
potential energy.
ie. TE = Ke + Pe = KE = TE at the last position.
Now, Ke = ½ mU2 and
Pe = mgh
When height is drop then KE = ½ mV2 and PE = 0 at Down.
Whereas, U = Initial velocity
V = final velocity
Therefore,
½ mU2 + mgh = ½ mV2
V2 = U2 + 2gh
V2 = (16)2 + 2*9.8*8.6
V2 = 256 + 168.56
V2 = 424.56
Taking square root
V = 20.6 m/s
So,
1.2sin(30.0º)m-1.6sin(xº)m = 0
But, x = 22.024º
1.2cos(30.0º)m + 1.6cos(22.0243º)m
Vm = 1.2cos(30.0º)m + 1.6cos(22.0243º)m
V = 1.03923 + 1.483239
V = 2.522m/s
V = 1.96 m/s
½ MV2 = MgH
½ V2 = gH
H = [ ½ x (1.96)2 ] / 9.8
= [3.846/2] /9.8
= 1.9208 / 9.8
H = 0.196m = 19.6cm
