Eligibility
Participation in the ANAM Chamber Music Competition is a requirement of the 2018 Professional
Performance Program and the ANAM/Griffith Master of Music (Research) program, unless your
Instrumental Teacher and the Artistic Director have granted an exemption.
Each ensemble must include a minimum of three musicians, with the sole exception of two-piano or
piano four-hand ensembles. Each ensemble should include a minimum of two current ANAM
musicians, and any guest musicians must be 32 years of age or under at Sunday 2 December 2018
to be eligible to perform.
Current ANAM musicians may participate in up to two ensembles; students wishing to participate in
more than two ensembles require special permission by their Instrumental Teacher and the Artistic
Director.
Ensembles cannot include any ANAM Faculty or ANAM Associate Faculty.

Prize
There will be a cash prize of $500 for each member of the winning ensemble, announced at the
conclusion of the performance on Sunday 2 December 2018.

Repertoire
Repertoire shall be one complete work of the ensemble’s own choice, with a preferred duration of
between 15 – 30 minutes. Ensembles must perform the same work for all rounds; the entire work is
required for Round Two and the Final. For Round One, ensembles must submit a recording of
between 10 – 15 minutes, comprising of a single movement, or consecutive movements, or a
continuous section of up to 15 minutes.

Recording Submission: Round One


Recordings are to be uploaded to the “2018 Chamber Competition” folder on the Student Video
Storage Drive, by 5pm, Friday 10 August 2018. No late entries will be accepted, unless an extension
has been granted prior by the Musician Coordinator. Recordings should be in one continuous take
and unedited. There is no audience requirement for recorded submissions.
