Philosophy Statement

I want to become an early childhood educator with a focus in children with

exceptionalities. I enjoy guiding children to become independent and expand on their learning.

The roles and responsibilities of a good teacher are lengthy yet very rewarding. The

responsibilities of a teacher begin with creating a safe, clean, organized and appropriate

classroom environment. Creating a bond with each individual child and their families. Planning

out lessons to teach to the class, also accommodating the lesson plans to fit each individual

child’s needs.

Whether it is working in small groups or all together, or keeping track of the student’s

progress, and sharing the information with the family. Testing the children’s knowledge is

important, creating and reinforcing the classroom rules, setting the students up for the rest of

their educational journey, ensuring that they are provided with the adequate tools and skills to

succeed.

Children all learn differently, some faster than others they can be kinesthetic learners,

visual learners, auditory learners, and so forth. Maximizing children’s learning journey is our

main priority as an educator. Using developmentally appropriate practices, learning foundation

and the common core practices as tools to do so is fundamental.
