What does the Lord's supper really mean to us?

Before we go into what many have heardblood"?

concerning the Lord’s Supper. Let us be
on one accord in understanding the mind of Paul as he writes with a thorough
knowledge of God’s laws written from Genesis to Malachi.
Again, be mindful that Paul's writing is hard to understand without knowledge of
God's laws.

2 Peter 3:15-16
15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul
also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be
understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures,
unto their own destruction.

Now, in 1 Corinthians 11:10-34 when did Paul make mention of eating the Lord's supper?
16But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.

17Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not, that ye come together not for the better, but
for the worse.

18For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you;
and I partly believe it.

19For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest
among you.

20When ye come together therefore into one place, this is NOT to eat the Lord's supper.

The purpose of the Lord's supper (God's word) is not to be eaten at church, but at home.

21For in eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is
drunken.

22What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame
them that have not? what shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise you not.

23For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus the
same night in which he was betrayed took bread: (God's word)

24And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken
for you: this do in remembrance of me. (Matthew 26)

25After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, this cup is the new
testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

26For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.

testimony of his word)

So, the Lord's supper is not the Holy Communion (Passover), but it is the eating of
God's word outside of the church; which is a condition for salvation by doing what
iis required of God's commandments.

As we continue in Corinthians 11, Paul tells you again that you have to do this
continually until Jesus comes back for your salvation. Depending on how hungry
one is for salvation; your relationship starts with obeying God's commandments
through eating God's word; you feed your spirit rather than your flesh which is to be
raised at the last day (coming of the Lord).

John 6:54
Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last
day

Corinthians 11
27Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be
guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

So if you become baptized under the blood of Jesus an do not obey his laws then damnation is
upon that soul.

28But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.

29For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not
discerning the Lord's body.

30For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.

31For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

32But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with
the world. (You are judged by God's word, therefore we must eat it)

33Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another.

34And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And
tthe rest will I set in order when I come. (Again, we have to eat his word until Jesus comes back)

What origin is of the Cross and that of the Holy Communion?

Those who didn't know about the history of the cross see
http://www.thercg.org/questions/p096.a.html The cross was not widely used in mainstream
Christianity until the time of the Roman emperor Constantine—about 300 years after Christ

established His Church. http://www.ccg.org/english/s/p039.html

Holy Communion has its origin as well see the following links:

The origin of Christian Communion can be traced back to the pagan period and patterns its
tradition similar to the Passover. http://godkind.org/pagan-holidays.html

God's word is most important for our salvation; therefore we must eat the Lord's
supper daily for spiritual growth in understanding of God's wisdom. By doing so we
are obedient children living by faith and not of our own righteousness.
