Feedback - reflecting this” response General To Work Comments On / To Work On A really bold and brave lesson Jordyn. Intelligent planning to ensure the S.T.E.A.M model and process wasn't too overwhelming. Your expressive, animated use of 'teacher in role' really sold the activity (helping the boy get off the moon and get back home) to the students. The students were instantly engaged and could see how you were using your imagination to model the character! To work on: as we discussed, with such a powerful, exciting lesson, always remember to slow things down now and again to address the purpose of the lesson (what are we learning about?/why are doing this?). Though you modeled a lot, it would have been useful to have an anchor chart exemplar of the ideas/materials worksheet so the students could get a sense of your thinking as you were doing it. Sharing Circles: really refine this practice with explicit questioning and exit tickets to discover if the learning was understood and why the learning is useful. Circles are also useful to hear from the students about what the students liked and might like to do in the future ( good assessment for learning opportunity) Suggestion: As discussed, possibly explore simple job cards for group work ( if appropriate). This may help students to further understand the concept of collaboration. Really well done Jordyn! Observer’s Signature:
