TABLE OF CONTENTS
Dual static switch is constituted by SCR and relay to ensure uninterrupted switching between bypass and
inverter. The control circuit uses "zero-crossing" conversion technology to ensure that the UPS switching time is
0ms. No matter what changes in grid frequency, the output voltage and frequency shall be stability uninterrupted.
UPS5000-S use Distributed Control + Concentrated Scheduling design. The energy control unit (ECU)
processes intra-cabinet and inter-cabinet signals and status information, and transfers the information to the
monitoring module.

1.8.1 OVERVIEW
The monitoring system consists of a CM and MDU, The monitoring system and the NetEco6000U can set up a
remote management system.
CM
The monitoring system provides comprehensive system management, LCD management, and communication
management.
The CM implements battery management.
The MDU communicates with the monitoring interface card to collect the running
Information and parameters of the CM.
The MDU delivers query commands, displays collected information, and allows for user operations.
The monitoring system reports the system status and key information to the UPS5000-E over an FE or RS485
port.
The monitoring system provides an RS485 port for additional functions.

1.8.3 ECM
Functions:
As a control interface for the entire system, the ECM communicates with each module and provides a bus to
communicate with the dry contact card. The system control card ensures equalized output currents between
modules so that load power is equally shared.
Provides module running information for the MDU.
Controls the running of a single UPS5000-E and parallel system, and reports the UPS5000-E status information
to other monitoring modules.
The system provides three types of control area network (CAN) communication: monitoring CAN
communication, intra-rack parallel CAN communication, and inter-rack parallel CAN communication. Below Figure
shows the logical connections.

Notes:
For dry contact outputs, the rated DC voltage and current are 24 V DC and 0.6 A and the maximum values are
30 V DC and 1.0 A. The rated AC voltage and current are 24 V AC and 0.6 A and the maximum values are 30 V
AC and 1.0 A. During cable connection, ensure that the voltage and current do not exceed these maximum
values.
DO_1–DO_5 can indicate critical alarms, minor alarms, bypass mode, battery mode, low battery voltage, D.G.
control, and other status. DO_1 indicates low battery voltage by default and others are reserved.
DI_1 and DI_2 allow you to monitor door alarms and water alarms.
All DIs are reserved. Users can flexibly set DOs based on actual requirements.

1.11 WIRING AND BLOCK DIAGRAMS FOR ALL FRAMES AND MODULES
The customer has to supply the wiring to connect the UPS to the local power source. The installation inspection
and initial start up of the UPS and extra battery cabinet must be carried out by a qualified service personnel such
as a licensed service engineer from the manufacturer or from an agent certified by the manufacturer.
More details and procedure are mentioned in the user manual.
1.11.1 TERMINAL CONNECTIONS OVERVIEW
Notes (50-300K):
When selecting, connecting, and routing power cables, follow local safety regulations and rules.
When the external conditions change, for example, the cable layout or ambient temperatures, perform
verification in accordance with the IEC-60364-5-52 or the local regulations.
If the rated voltage is 400 V, multiply the currents by 0.95. If the rated voltage is 415 V, multiply the
currents by 0.92.
When the primary loads are non-linear loads, increase the cross-sectional areas of the neutral wires 1.5–1.7
times.
When the mains input and bypass input share a power source, configure input power cables as mains input
power cables. In addition, cables listed in Table 3-3 apply only to the following conditions:
200 KVA: The cables are installed along the wall or on the floor (IEC-60364-5-52 C standards).
300 KVA: The cables are routed over a ladder or bracket in a single layer (IEC60364-5-52 F
standards).
The ambient temperature is 30°C.
The AC voltage loss is less than 3%, and the DC voltage loss is less than 1%.
200 KVA: single- or multi-core 90°C soft power cable with a copper conductor; 300 KVA: single-core 90°C
soft power cable with a copper conductor
It is recommended that the 200 KVA AC power cable should not be longer than 30 meters and the DC
power cable should not be longer than 40 meters. The 300 KVA AC power cable should not be longer
than 30 meters and the DC power cable should not be longer than 50 meters.

Notes (350-600K):
When selecting, connecting, and routing power cables, follow local safety regulations and rules.
If external conditions such as cable layout or ambient temperatures change, perform verification in accordance with
the IEC-60364-5-52 or local regulations.

When the mains input and bypass input share a power source, configure both types of input power cables as mains
input power cables. The cables listed in below Table are used only when the following requirements are met:
Routing mode: Routing the cables over the cable ladder or bracket in a single layer (IEC60364-5-52
middle E).
The ambient temperature is 30°C.
The AC voltage loss is less than 3%, and the DC voltage loss is less than 1%.
90°C copper flexible cable.
The length of the AC power cables of a UPS is no longer than 30 m and DC power cables no longer than
50 m.

Notes:
The input upstream circuit breakers recommended in the table are for reference only.
If multiple loads are connected, specifications for branch circuit breakers must not exceed the
recommended specifications.
The circuit breaker selection principle is to protect loads and cables, and the cascading principle is to
realize specific protection.
