information to confirm that the right items are being purchased from the right vendor and in
the right quantities. Our Item Master Preparation service verifies and establishes data integrity,
standardization and categorization so that you can experience optimal performance from day
one of installing your Pyxis ® supply technologies.

Item Master Services

Up to 70 percent of lines in an average file
may need a correction or enrichment. Lack of data
preparation to correct these discrepancies can cause
data conflicts within Pyxis® supply technologies,
resulting in patient billing errors and inaccurate
supply inventory and usage reporting.
Our first step to preparing your item master, prior the installation of your Pyxis® supply technologies, is to
check the accuracy and completeness of each line of your data. Next, we include UNSPSC commodity coding,
increasing your reporting potential.
To maintain continued quality as items turn over during normal shifts in utilization, our Item Master Maintenance
service includes the same steps as the preparation process and is recommended on a quarterly basis.
