Dear Ato Yaschalew,

We fully appreciate the concerted effort exerted by you and your entire team in promoting the IFB
business at your District. Besides, we are pleased to witness the remarkable results being recorded by
Dessie Branch which indeed is a result of hard work by its Management and Staff.

If you recall, consensus was reached and a direction was given by the Executive Management to extend
the IFB service in all of our Branches in the next fiscal year at our last Corporate Performance Review
Meeting held on May 11,2018. That’s why we have sent the initial communication in this mail trail to
alert Districts and Branches to make the necessary Preparation ahead of time. To our dismay, the
District Operations Manager, Ato Mesfin Ayalew, has ignored such decision and acted on the contrary.
When requested to justify his decision, he has further given the below reply which we have found it to
be unprofessional and irrational considering his position and his scope of responsibility.

As Dessie district is one of the potential area for our Bank’s IFB business, we are afraid that such attitude
of a person in our team may damage our Bank’s reputation and hamper the growth of our Bank’s
business. Besides, it will affect the team work and spirit that we have built so far.

This is, therefore, to bring to your kind attention that we have found the reply and the attitude of the
Manager unacceptable which does not reflect our Bank’s view of the service.

It is to be recalled that we have requested you to forward your request for production of stamps for IFB
window service at your respective branches(excluding the 120 branches that will go operational this
fiscal year) in our below message. However, it was brought to our attention that it would be preferable
if the request is compiled and sent by District Offices to shorten the production and eventual
distribution of the stamps.

Thus, we call upon District Offices to list name of branches at your respective domain(Existing and any
branches under process for opening) and forward such list to Facilities Management Department as
early as possible. Kindly make every effort to check whether each branch is spelled correctly in your
request.

It is to be recalled that we have facilitated production of stamps to be used for our IFB windows service
at the 120 branches budgeted in the current fiscal year in collaboration with Facilities Management
Department. As a direction has been given by the Executive Management to extend the IFB window
service offering in all of the remaining existing and future branches in the next fiscal year, i.e.
2018/2019., It is imperative that we all have to make all the necessary preparation ahead of time.

This is, therefore, to request you kindly to forward your request for production of the required set of
stamps for the IFB window Service (Crossing Stamp, Cheque Clearance Stamp, CSO’s Stamp, Stamp to be
used for printing Branch Name on Cheques, Signed in my presence stamp and Signature verification
stamp (half circle)) to our Facilities Management Department as early as possible.
