1. Does manager like Janice Blancero face a more complicated decision when on evaluating the
personal request of employees versus evaluating employee’s individual work performance?

Yes, because managers like Blancero should analyzed well the situation and they are pressure
because they are facing challenges to meet the desired goals of the company while meeting the
expectations of employee to the organization. Especially, they need to think critically between
granting personal request of employee and the availability of resources for the faster productivity
of the company. Benefits are one of the most important factor in a workplace and in adding more
extra benefits like granting personal request or this so called flexible benefits which allows
employees to choose the best suited benefits for them may attract and retain more talented employee
so that employee will happy and more committed on their job., but somehow in establishing such
things like this, managers should analyzed well if there will be a better return on their investment
or otherwise it results negatively in the company.

2. A. Should Adobe establish a policy for granting flexible work schedule?

Yes, adobe should establish a policy granting flexible schedule because it includes work balance
on the part of the employee and it is both beneficial to both parties, employee and employer because
on the part of employee she/he has the ability to work from home while doing task in their family
and also there will be a reduced on their cost and on the other hand it is beneficial to the company
for them to retain a talented employee for their productivity.

The policy should focus on balancing both their work and at the same time fulfilling their home
responsibilities and other personal matter to maintain their careers and to avoid any
misunderstanding in a certain organization.

3. If you were Janice Blancero, how would you resolve this dilemma? Explain.

First I need the help of human resource department, I need to get their guidance regarding this
matter. And in order for the employee to be granted their request, they should provide their valid
and full details of their reasons to prove that they deserve to be granted by flexible schedule and
some would misuse this program by giving irrelevant reasons.
