II. Target Participants and Number of Participants:

The target of this program will be the Sangguniang Kabataan Officials in Lipa City that will be
elected on May 14, 2018 which has the total of 72 SK Chairmen and 504 SK Councilors. The
participants are selected because we want them to have more knowledge and awareness about
the changes in the previous SK Law. We assume that these participants are lacking in awareness
and understanding of the reformed SK Law.

III. Proposed Date and Venue:

This program will be conducted on May 13, 2018, 9:00 in the morning at the Lipa CIty Youth &
Cultural Center. The venue is convenient to the participants because they are all from Lipa City.

IV. Funding Source:

A. The main source of the training program is the Department of the Interior and Local
Government (DILG) and from us, the management. The proposed budget is P200.00.
B. There is no registration fee to be collected.

V. Proponent
The Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Law Training Program is necessary for the newly elected
SK Officials for them to be aware and more knowledgeable about the reforms or changes in the
SK Law. Their participation in this training program can help them in performing their
responsibilities better and effective. This will also serve as their guide on being the
representative of the youth in their barangay. This program will surely give the participants every
information properly.

VI. Rationale
The program will be conducted for the reason of contributing knowledge and awareness to the
Sangguniang Kabataan Officials. For they will understand more their role not just in the
barangay but also to the youth.
The strategic priorities of this program is to increase the knowledge and dedication of the SK
officials to do their role effectively after knowing the reforms of the SK Law. The information of
this program will be discussed and shared to the participants in the form of powerpoint
presentation.

VII. Objectives
This program aims for the participant:
1. To understand more the changes done in the SK Reform Law;
2. To give them more knowledge on how to perform their role properly;
 3. To help them realize why the youth is a big part of our society; and
4. To guide them about their roles and responsibilities.
VIII. Training Content
The training program will consists of 2 hosts which will make the program entertaining and
lively, 2 speakers who have experienced the being a Sangguniang Kabataan official, 1 speker to
discuss the responsibilities of a SK official and 1 speaker who will discuss the reforms or
changes of the law. There will also be giving of certificates and tokens as a sign of thanksgiving
for their participation in the training program.

A. Methodologies
The Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Law Training Program is a one-time seminar
for the participants of not more than 600 participants. They are expected to
behave well especially when the speakers are sharing their knowledge about
the topics given. The topics given are background of the previous SK Law,
reforms and changes of the SK Reform Law, Responsibilities of a SK
official, and Experiences of being a SK official.
