Established in 1997 with only 17 members, BASIS has come a long way. Over
the two decades, the number of BASIS members has increased manifold and
more diverse in nature. Primarily, the challenge for BASIS was more about
making a sustainable institution. To move on to the next level we believe
BASIS should gradually move from need-based activities to a proactive
vision-based planning. This shift requires intense planning guided by a
long-term vision and more towards protecting member’s collective interest
targeted towards growth enablers.
