Pre-Lesson : Pupils play the hang man game to guess the title of the lesson.

Lesson Development : Pupils listen to the audio about various types of social media and complete a
circle map.

Post-Lesson : Pupils listen to the audio again and match the unfamiliar words to their meanings/
identify and write down the words according to its meaning.

Pre-Lesson: Teachers shows some screenshots of events promoted on different social media and ask
questions.

Lesson Development : Pupils plan and promote a school event using social media in groups. They can
write the points in a piece of mah-jong paper.

Post-Lesson: Pupils present their plan in front of the class.

Differentiation Strategies applied: Differentiate by the outcome expected from pupils

Products varies based on groups and the language used varies in terms of levels.

Pre-Lesson : Teacher shows news excerpts of social media usage (positives and negatives) and pupils
discuss the questions.

Lesson Development: Pupils discuss advantages and disadvantages of social media and produce a
draft of the essay in the form of bubble maps in groups.

Post-Lesson : Pupils write the essay entitled “The Advantages and Disadvantages of Social Media”
with the correct punctuation.
