Relation Between Children’s Health Knowledge Level,

Mother’s Job And Nutritional Status


At The Primary School

Background
Knowledge about health is very important to set a healthy lifestyle. In the era of globalization it
sometime requires mother to play a dual role in her domestic live, not only taking care of children
but also working for a living. Participation of mother’s job certainly has an impact on the
knowledge of health and nutritional status of her children

Objective
To determine the children’s health knowledge level and mother’s job on child’s nutritional status

Methods
The method is a cross-sectional study design. The study was conducted in 21 February 2017 at
the primary school in Malang. Data was collected from students of grade fourth and fifth by direct
interview and researchers measured the weight and height of each children. The nutritional status
was assessed based on the CDC chart. Data were processed and analyzed by chi-square test

Conclusion
There was no significant difference between children’s health knowledge level, mother’s job and
nutritional status at primary school
