Note:
Please read, understand and follow the information contained in this User Manual before
installation and use this product.

Safety Information
This product was designed, and intended for use indoor via a USB cable or wireless USB
receiver connected to a desktop or laptop computer. Use this product in an outdoor and/or wet
environment could damage this product and create a potentially unsafe operating condition.

o Please read, understand and follow all safety information contained in this User Manual
before installation and use this product.
o Do not use this product in an outdoor and/or wet environment.
o Do not use this product near water. Electric shock will result.
o This product is not intended for use by unsupervised children. Always provide proper adult
supervision when using this product around children.
o Only qualified adult should perform the installation and removal procedure. Failure to do so
could result in personal injury and/or damage from dropping this product.
o Always place this product on a stable and level surface.
o Follow all installation instructions carefully.
o Only plug the power cord, power plug or power adaptor into an AC power outlet with the
proper and indicated power supply voltage and is effectively grounded (earthed) through the
normal wiring. If this product is used at a power supply voltage other than the one indicated, it
would fail and may result in fire or electric shock.
o If the power cord or power plug or power adaptor cannot be plugged into the AC power outlet,
contact a licenses electrician to replace the AC power outlet with a properly grounded
(earthed) one.
o When you operate this product, the AC power outlet should be near this product and easily
accessible.
o The fact that this product operates satisfactorily does not imply that the AC power outlet is
grounded (earthed) and that the installation is completely safe. For your safety, if in any doubt
about the effective grounding (earthing) of the AC power point, consult a qualified electrician.

o Do not defeat the purpose of the grounding (Earthing) plug (for example, do not use a
conversion plug).
o Always plug the power cord, power plug or power adaptor securely and firmly into an AC
power outlet. Otherwise, overheating will occur, possibly resulting in electric shock or fire.
o Do not pull, bend, rest objects on, or chafe the power cord or power plug or power adaptor.
Damage to the power cord or power plug or power adaptor can cause fire or electric shock.
o Do not attempt to repair the power cord, power plug or power adaptor. If the power cord or
power plug or power adaptor is damaged or frayed, contact an authorized service
representative for a replacement.
o Periodically clean the power cord or power plug or power adaptor to ensure the connection is
free of dust. In a damp environment, a contaminated connector can draw a significant amount
of current that can generate heat and eventually cause fire if left unattended over an extended
period of time.
o Never touch the power cord or power plug or power adaptor with wet hands. Electric shock
will result.
o Stop operation immediately if your product emits smoke, excessive heat, abnormal smell or
unusual noise. These conditions can cause fire or electronic shock. Immediately turn your
product off and unplug the power cord or power plug or power adaptor, and contact an
authorized service representative for service.
o When disconnecting this product, hold the power plug or the power adaptor instead of the
power cord. Pulling on a power cord forcibly can damage it and cause fire or electric shock.
o To prevent fire or shock hazard, do not expose this product to rain or any type of moisture.
o If metal objects or a liquid get into this product, turn this product off and unplug this product
immediately. Contact an authorized service representative for service. Operating the
contaminated product can cause fire or electronic shock.
o Never open or remove unit covers that are screwed with screws. Components can cause
electric shock.
o Do not alter this product or modify any parts. Alternation or modification can cause fire or
electronic shock
o Before cleaning this product, unplug the power cord or power plug or power adaptor. Electric
shock sometimes results.

o Do not open or alter the casing of this product. Electric shock or injury may result.
o Be careful about the location of the power cord, power plug or power adaptor to avoid it trips
someone or causing this product to fall, etc. It may cause injury or product failure.
o Do not leave this product or any of its accessories on the floor to avoid someone break it
when stepping on it or injured by tripping on it.
o Use only the included power cord or power plug or power adaptor. If other power cord or
power plug or power adaptor is used, fire or electric shock might result.
o Do not operate this product in a location with high temperature or high humidity. This product
is suitable to work under: Temperature: 15℃ to 40℃; Humidity: 15% to 75%; NO
condensation.
o Unplug the power cord, power plug or power adaptor from the AC power outlet when:
- The power cord or power supply plug is damaged.
- A liquid is spilled onto this product.
- This product is exposed to rain or water.
- This product becomes malfunctions and/or need repairing.
- This product falls or after its cabinet is damaged.

o This product must be disposed in accordance with the relevant federal, state, and local laws
and regulations.
o Do not install this product except by qualified service personnel.
o Avoid fire and heat source above 100℃.
o When this product is not used over an extended period of time, switch it off and unplug the
power plug or power adaptor. If it is unused and is left connected to a power source for a long
period, degraded insulation may cause electronic shock, current leakage or fire.
o Do not position this product in a location where it is unstable.
o Do not place this product in a hot humid or dusty environment. Prolonged exposure to these
adverse conditions may cause fire or electric shock.
o When moving this product, be sure to unplug the power cord, plug or power adaptor from the
AC power outlet. If this product is moved with the power cord or plug or power attached, it can
cause damage to the power cord, plug or power adaptor which could result in fire or electric
shock.
o After installing or moving this product, lock the casters when it is hanging on a mobile stand.
o If this product is fallen down or damaged, turn this product off and unplug the power cord or
power plug or power adaptor. Otherwise, it may cause fire or electric shock.
o Do not put drinks, other liquids or heavy items near/on the product. Accidental spillage of
liquid into this product may cause severe damage. If this occurs, turn this product off, unplug
the power cord or power plug or power adaptor and contact an authorized service
representative for service.
o Do not lean against this product even this product is mounted on the wall or whiteboard or
any flat surface.
o When this product is not used over an extended period of time, take the batteries out of the
ultrasonic stylus. Otherwise the batteries may leak. Do not use the leaked batteries.
o Do not install this product where it may be exposed to direct sunlight, near heating
equipment, or near air-conditioning vents.
o Do not install this product in strong sunlight or strong lighting.
o Do not install this product in locations where the temperature may change suddenly.
o If you connect the wireless USB receiver to a USB hub, it is not guaranteed to work.
o Before installation, take the wall / whiteboard/ material surface flatness into consideration.

Overview

Dr. Board DB-02C is interactive product with ultrasonic and infrared

technology. Through simple and easy calibration by attached ultrasonic

stylus, you can enjoy the similar function as mouse with ultrasonic stylus.

With following features that make DB-02C very suitable for teachers, students

and business use.

1. Virtual IWB type, free operation without changing decoration of

classroom.

2. Portable type make storage very easily and can be carried to anywhere

for use.

3. Small size that can easily go with traditional whiteboard for operation.

4. Simple and easy operation. Complicated setting and specification on

calibration is not requested.

5. Drawing smooth function inspires the interest of using.

6. Precision writing and drawing with lighting from pen tip.

7. Easy driver with perfect compatibility and can go with all kinds of

interactive software in markets.

Components

Unpack the carton, refer to the drawing below to become familiar with
components and check that all parts are included before installation. If any
shortage is happened, please contact with your distributor directly.

① Receiver – Do not block sides when operating and held ultrasonic

stylus under ordinary when doing writing. Under proper use will get
better and smooth writing.

② Mimi B USB-port – Please connect the station and computer with

attached USB cable. Please have USB extender for USB cable
length is required over 5M.

③ Blue LED indicator – Indicator lights-up for good connection and

operation. Indicator flashes for trouble and please contact with your
distributor.

④ Station Calibration key –Station will do calibration each time when

either screen size or projection area is changed. (This function will be
workable only under driver is well installed)

Specification – DB-02C Stylus

Down key
Up key

① Up key-Hover function. Light show up when click up key to help

operator know well the position.
Down key- Same function as Mouse right key.
Pressure sensitive stylus- Same function as Mouse left key.

② Station & pen will enter “electronic save mode” automatically for
non-used over 30 seconds. ( To wake up station & pen by click either
key or press pen tip.)

③ With smooth writing, short response time, and intuitional writing.

④ Anti-tumble design.

⑤ Only need AAA battery *1 pc and alkaline battery is suggested.

⑥ Easy to change new pen tip. Just grip the old pen tip with two fingers
and pull out perpendicularly, then drive new pen tip in stylus.

Environment requirement

To avoid of miss-action happening, please do care about the environment

requirement when operating DB-02C.
① To avoid operating DB-02C under noisy environment, especially the
noise from metal may cause operation interference or function useless.

② With Infrared products such as Infrared camera or Halogen lamp

nearby, it may cause operation interference. If interference is
happened, please stop having these products front DB-02C or even
stop using these products.

③ To get best writing result, operation temperature between 15~40℃ is

strongly suggested. Avoid to having heater blow front DB-02C or

operating area directly.

④ Please have USB extender for USB cable length is required over 5M to
strong the signal.

⑤ The operating area can extend up to 100” depands on the environment.

Over 100” will be depended on the board surface. The glass smooth
surface will get best operating result.

⑥ Please have flat surface for operation. The cloth surface or

deadening surface is not recommended.

Installation for Station

With proper installation of DB-02C to make product under good use and best
operating result, please follow steps bellowing for installation.

① Turn on the computer and projector and project the image of computer
to the operation area such as whiteboard and adjust the projection
screen size. The upper height of screen is suggested not to over
15cm of operator’s head.

② Stick steel mounting plate to proper position (steel mounting plate

stuck on left side of projection screen is suggested for right-hand
operator). Distance from projection area to plate side needs to be at
least 7 cm or above. The central position of projection area is the
best.

③ Connect USB cable from computer/laptop to DB-02C Station。

④ Suck the DB-02C Station at steel mounting plate。
⑤ When blue LED indicator light up after USB cable is connected,
connection with computer is completed.
⑥ Install driver from attached CD. You can start to enjoy and have fun
with DB-02C after calibration is completed.

 Notice for steel mounting plate:

Distance requests at least 5cm between DB-02C Station and projection

screen. Or the distance requests at least 7cm from steel mounting plate side
to projection area.

Calibration

DB-02C is with Drive free function that you will not see drive icon on windows
task bar. With Drive free function has best stability and compatibility of
DB-02.

There are two ways to do calibration.

1. After carry out the “installation” program from CD, click the ”calibration”
key from station to start calibration.
2. To run the DB-02C.exe file from CD and it will do calibration
automatically.

No matter you change the operation surface or operation position, or even just
want to get better and precision operating area, only need to click
the ”calibration” key from station and calibration can be re-setting.
Carry out the “installation” program from CD to all computers that you may
use with DB-02C for convenience.

Steps for calibration as following：
1. Use ultrasonic stylus to point the cross for calibration.
2. Point on each coordinates accurately,
3. The coordinates will be moved continuously until the calibration is
completed.
4. Press ESC to exit.
