1. Give the different types of texts according to structure.

B. Motivation
Group Activity: 4 pics, 1 word Game
a. Present set of pictures to students showing sequence of event
b. Have them guess the common word portrayed by the each set of
pictures.
c. Ask this “How did you come up with the correct answers? “

C. Focusing Content
Read the article entitled Ham Hock with Vegetables and Sweet Gravy.

D. Discussion
1. What is the structure of the text?
2. What are the words used to introduce the sequence of ideas?
3. What do you call those words?
4. Can you give other examples of transitional devices used to sequence
ideas?

E. Activity 1
a. Have the students picked up unfamiliar words.
b. Let them give its equivalent in layman’s term.
c. Process answers.

F. Activity 2
a. Go back with the words used in motivation.
b. Arrange those words in order to form a process based on the article read.
