Work Sheet: Switching Pressure Calculation to DIN 1988
Basic data: H = (pE - pvor) 10 m pE = pvor + (H : 10) bar pA = (H0 - 3) : 10 + p vor bar ∆p = p A - pE bar Qsoll = PBU capacity at pE m3/h H = PBU discharge head at QSoll m H m PBU discharge head pE = Start-up pressure for PBU at QSoll p0 max. 10 bar at QSoll including inlet pressure pvor pvor = Inlet pressure upstream of PBU pA = Switch-off pressure basic setting 0.3 bar below H0 H0 = PBU discharge head at Q = 0 p0max = PBU discharge pressure at Q = 0 (H0 + pvor) DIN 1988 stipulates that pE must lie between p E min and pE max.
pE max = pA - 0.3 bar
∆pmax as per characteristic curve 1)
1) If no pressure reducer is fitted in the discharge line, DIN 1988 recommends ∆pmax = 2.5 bar. Catalogue data always refer to inlet pressure = 0.
