Chronology of Professional Educational Experience

2015-present: Vice President for design of customized on-site workforce training seminars at
Eiranova Kyle International.

2015-present: Co-authoring a book with Diana Eiranova Kyle that compares the technical
education system in Europe and South America with vocational education in the community
college system of the United States.

2014: Lecturer, DePaul University.

1998-2012: Principal, Harriet Beecher Stowe Fine and Performing Arts Academy-University
Preparatory, Illinois School District 299. Instructional leader for Pre-K to 8 th grade inner-city
elementary school with an enrollment of approximately 1,000 students – 99% of whom were
minorities, 99% of whom received free or reduced lunch; 11% of whom were students with
disabilities, and 80% of whom were either English language learners or bilingual
(Spanish/English) students. Supervisor for 60 certified teachers and 40 support employees.

2010-2011: Member of the Chancellor’s Blue Ribbon Academic Advisory Council for the
Reinvention of the City Colleges of Chicago.

2000-2005: Member of the Mayor’s Advisory Committee for the Chicago Council on Urban
Opportunity overseeing programs for the homeless and “Head Start” pre-school programs.
