1. By the end of the module, students will have practiced using google docs and will
provide a reflection after to explain the positive and negative aspects they experienced
while exploring how it works.
2. Throughout the module students should be able to engage in discussion about the
programs they have used and the

 YouTube Video’s on how to use google docs and google hangouts
 Various Websites on how to work google docs and google hangouts
PREPARATION & LOGISTICAL CONSIDERATION
 Have all of the information set up for the students
 Be available for students if they may need assistance (through e mail)
ASSESSMENTS
Observations:  Whether the students provided a comprehensive
reflection on their experience using google docs
 If the students provided negative and positive
aspects of their experience with the program and
why.

PROCEDURE
Introduction
 Give a brief overview on what we will
be doing today
Body
 Give the students their objectives for the day
- By the end of the module, the students
will have explored google and all of its
programs, after they will create a
reflection using google docs to reflect on
their experience
- During the module, they will engage in
discussion about their experiences to
their classmates
 Have websites and videos ready for the students
to be able to access
 Provide students with other google programs
they can explore
 Google Hangout- which they will be using for
discussions
 Have the discussion board ready on google
hangouts
 Provide an explanation about the assignment
and what is expected
 Formative Assessment: Observe throughout the
reflection, how the student explained their
experience of using google docs through their
discussions.
 Summative: The student completed the
assignment, and how in depth the student went
on their experience with the program.
 Summative: The student’s participation in the
discussions
Adaptation  Students who may have difficulty typing are
able to submit a video instead of a written
reflection.
 Students can also submit an audio recording
through google docs

Rationale
 How does this This individual lesson scaffolds learning for students as it
individual lesson provides them with a chance to learn about google docs and
scaffold learning become comfortable with the program. This way the students are
opportunities for able to initially learn about the program and how to use it, and
students? then they can learn on how to be a bit more creative with it during
their writing. I am giving students the opportunity to write their
reflection or record it in a video or audio format. I will also have
“google add ons” which will help students who may need more
support with using the program. With all of these options and
resources I hope to make the environment comfortable and a
place where everyone feels as though they are learning and can
learn.

already know?  Basic knowledge of computers and how to use them

 In what ways is this This lesson is connected to the next lesson as we will be

get a better sense of what stories they like versus the ones they
didn’t and why.
