This procedure can be applied if there is no access to the sides of the BTS.
Procedure 1. Fix the two front feet of the equipment with brackets as described for
concrete floor (See Figure 13)
2. Fix the BTS to the wall by the two holes (1) at the top of the rack.
3.8 Preparing the Site Cable Tray and the Metal Sheath
Procedure 1. Make a cut-out in the cable way for the cables with metal sheath (See
Figure 14)
2. Make a cut-out in the cable way for the antenna jumpers
3. Edge the cut-outs with edge protection
4. Fix provisory the metal sheath to the cable way (See Figure 15).
Before making any electrical connections to the BTS, ensure that the safety
instructions are followed.

2. Insert the wires in the terminal block (1 in Figure 22)(to avoid cutting
problems os short circuits, take the wire with the first hand and insert it
with the other hand)
3. Fit the lightning protection block
4. Tie the cables to the rack (with adhesive tie blocks).

Procedure 1. Strech the metallic sheath between the vertical cutout in the cable tray
and the BTS rack (See Figure 39)
2. Fix the metallic sheath to the cable tray with one stove screw (See Figure 39)
3. Cut the metalic sheath to the right length (*1)
4. Fix a lug to the metallic sheath if necessary
5. Connect the metallic sheath tot he rack (See Figure 40)
6. Tighten the stripped PCM cable shielding to the sheath using the metallic tie
wrap provided in the kit (See Figure 40).
(*1) : when cutting the metal sheath, take care to avoid dropping small scraps
of copper into the rack.
9.2 Finishing
BTS STATION 2
Procedure 1. Affix the “ BTS STATION “ and “ N “ labels to the door of the BTS
2. Clear away packaging
3. Leave the site tidy
4. Leave the BTS door key
5. Clean the site.
