Can You Follow Directions?

Directions: You have a 3 minute time limit to complete the questions on this test.
Carefully read all of the questions on this test before doing anything. You may start the
time when the teacher says begin. Good Luck!!

1. Put your name in the upper right-hand corner of this paper.

2. Place today’s date under your name.

3. Circle the word "name" in sentence number 2.

4. Draw five small squares in the upper left-hand corner of this paper.

5. Write the answer to the following multiplication problem directly underneath the
date on your test paper--6 X 5 = ?

6. In the lower left hand corner of your test paper, write the names of your favorite
singer and your favorite group.

7. Put an "x" in each square.

8. Put a circle around each square.

9. Put a circle around each word in question number #4.

10. Add 15 to the answer you got in question #5, and write this new total directly
underneath your answer for question #5.

11. Put an "x" in the lower left-hand corner of this paper.

12. Draw a triangle around the "x" you just put down.

13. Stand up and sit back down again.

14. If you think you have followed directions up to this point, call out "I can folow
directions."

15. Count the number of words in the first question and write the answer beside #3 on
your paper.

16. In the lower right hand corner of your test paper, draw a rectangle and inside the
rectangle draw a five pointed star. The size of these drawings is not important.

17. Just above your answer to question #6, write "This test is very easy."
18. Now that you have finished reading this carefully, skip the last 2 questions and do
only questions 1 and 2.

19. The name of the first president of the United States is George Washington. He
was president from 1789 until 1797. Add the 2 dates together to see if the total is
less than 5000. If it is tell the class “Yes it is,” if it is not tell the class “No it isn’t.”

20. You should not be reading the end of the exam before the beginning of the exam,
but now that you are here, you have just wasted some of the time you may need
to complete the test.
