1. How does technology evolution cause political, social and environmental

changes?

Answer: Technological evolution has been crucial to generate changes in various aspects
of the life of modern man, bearing in mind that with it originated a globalized culture, which
is focused on real-time communication and the immediate solution of problems.

In this sense, technological evolution has favored various socio-cultural phenomena, from
the printed press with its political power; even forms of communication such as social
networks, which undoubtedly created the need to transmit information without a filter and
simultaneously with the facts to which the latter refers.

On the other hand it constitutes in the improvement of the processes of election and political
control of our governors; and this we can affirm because technology with its different
advances and devices puts at the service not only of the political leader, but of the primary
voter and of the surveillance entities, mechanisms such as those that can be monitored not
only the elections, but also It extends to the way in which he exercises his position, the
quality of his decisions and the impact they have on the lives of citizens. An example of this
is the influence of social networks like twitter, through which the ruler can express his
thoughts, disclose a state pronouncement or be attacked by any of these.

Finally, the changes at the environmental level have been far-reaching, because
technological advances contribute to environmentally friendly customs being more common,
for example, when communicating by e-mail, the use of paper is reduced and therefore it is
a small contribution for decrease the cutting of trees. Another example is the culture of
recycling, which undoubtedly seeks to generate a culture that promotes the optimal use of
garbage and its maximum use.

2. Does technological development provide more positive or negative effects on

the world? Why?

Answers: I believe that the effects have been mostly positive, because the technological
developments have provided humanity with elements with which they have improved their
quality of life and have eradicated threats to the survival of the species. Examples of this
circumstance can be mentioned to the branch of medicine which with the creation of
medicines, vaccines, clinical treatments has managed to cure diseases and has allowed
health conditions that are incapacitating to be seen and treated not as hexes and
degradation of the human condition, and on the contrary, the inclusion of those who suffer
from it, for the construction of a better world and in spite of suffering; that is, they give him
tools so that he is prepared to face the changes that the future puts him on the way. All this
to build a dignified human life, which enables not only the reproduction of man, but the
construction of an evolved and respectful society of the other.

Among other reasons why it can be determined that changes can be quantified as positive
are firstly the development of means of transport (cars, airplanes, metro, among others);
and the creation of physical communication routes (roads, bridges, tunnels, etc.), which has
been reversed in the capacity to shorten physical distances and reach the destination in less
time. This has facilitated the transport not only of individuals, but has generated and satisfied
the need to move cargo (food, medicines, tools, etc.), each one required to meet the needs
of society or of different individuals. As a second way to promote positive changes through
technological developments, we can mention environmentally friendly practices, such as the
recycling of paper and garbage (through machinery, consumption reduction, and reuse of
waste), control and care of sources of drinking water, reduction of industrial waste and
control of its disposal, among other measures with which it seeks to improve the conditions
that the environment has experienced, thanks to the fact that in the past technology and its
advances did not have account the environmental needs and the preservation of the natural
resources that the planet has.

Finally, the interaction in real time of people who are physically distant (e-mail, whatsap,
Facebook, twitter, etc., using devices such as computers, cell phones, telephones, internet
and others), is included as a recent example of the positive way in which technology has
allowed man to adapt to new situations; nevertheless, it is documented as a separate
section, because these influence not only at the social level, but also expand to the political,
the cultural becoming part of the daily life of man in society; being for this reason a double-
edged sword, since it is one of the main generators of dependence on technological devices,
massification of habits of intolerance or violence and publication of false news; all this if it
causes a negative impact, because information is immediately received that leads to chaos
and conflict in various sectors of society.

In conclusion, to a large extent the effects of technology can be documented as positive,

however the road has not been easy and all results document a doing and learning; so that
some technological developments in principle are more the damages that cause the
benefits; and that is where the hand of the social man must make his contribution, rescuing
the profits and improving the shortcomings that such advances have.
