The following window will be prompted:

Press the “Save (Salva) file” button to save the installation program on your personal computer.
Remarks: RDE will be installed with a "basic" license, which is automatically activated in absence
of other developer licenses. The basic license enables the user to all RDE functions with the
following restrictions:
* it is not possible to compile R3 programs
* it is not possible to activate live modifications on ladder programs
Developer licenses, allowing such features, must be required to Robox (support@robox.it) and
copied into the "Lic" folder of RDE installation.

RDE Installation
1. Execute the “rde-3.x.x.exe” program (for example “rde-3.10.6.exe”) downloaded in the
previous section.
2. Choose the installation language (for example “English”), then click “OK”, or “Cancel” to
exit installation.

paste it in the new installation directory, to keep the customized settings.
12. For motion controllers with only RS232 serial ports, connect a serial cable to the P.SER 1
port of the motion controller and to the COM RS232 port of the personal computer. See the
attached instructions for the wiring diagram of the serial cable. For the motion controllers
with USB ports, connect a USB cable to the USB port of the motion controller and to the

the personal computer side and B-Type connector on the Robox motion controller side.
