Mr. Edwin D. De La Cerna is a Management Consultant with more than 30 years of experience in the field
of Human Resources. His wealth of HR experience has been derived during his employment with San
Miguel Corporation and with Platinum Holdings, Inc., a Cebu-based holding company managing a
development bank, a micro-financing business, a pawnshop and a jewelry shop businesses, where he
served both organizations in a capacity as Group Manager.

During his stint with San Miguel Corporation, he was given a foreign assignment for SMC’s joint venture
in Guangzhou, China where he was tasked to conduct organizational streamlining and established the
human resource organization in the joint-venture company.

At Platinum Holdings, Inc. he established the human resources organization of the holding company and
its business units. Then, as Group Manager, he was seconded as Board Director of Wealth Development
Bank where he organized the Compensation Committee.

As a Management Consultant, he has served more than 30 private, government and non-government
organizations for more than 10 years, providing services in the areas of Organization Streamlining, Job
Classification and Salary Structuring, Strategic and Operational Business Planning, Training and
Development (top/middle management and rank and file), Team Building Workshops and ISO 9001
Accreditation Project, to name a few. He is an accredited trainor, of Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits for Highly
Effectively People at the Ateneo de Manila University (1994).

He is currently serving as a Family Corporation Consultant (Cebu-based firm) responsible in providing

guidance in the crafting of parallel strategic plan, both for the family and the business. At the same time,
he is a Training Consultant of the City of Bayawan helping the LGU in their cultural transformation.

Currently, Mr. De La Cerna is enrolled in the Doctoral Program in Management at the Ateneo de Davao
University. He holds a degree of Master in Management Major in Business Management at the University
of the Philippines – Cebu Colleges (2007) and received his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering
degree, Cum Laude, from the Colegio de San Jose Recoletos in 1977).

Mr. De La Cerna is currently a Marketing Director and a member of the Board of Directors of ACS
Consulting Firm, Inc.
