REPORT
INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this report is to document the detailed calculations of design of all structural components of
facade of zone 3, Emporium Mall, Lahore, Pakistan. The structural components include Beams supporting
facade walls, LGS walls forming façade and elements forming parapet walls. The scope of the work includes
the construction of façade using LGS walls and their supports, covering all the 9 zones of Emporium Mall
Lahore Pakistan.
The document is maintained with the latest information available for design of the structure.
DESIGN CODES OF PRACTICE AND STANDARDS
All the structural design work will be carried out in accordance to the list of codes provided as
following:
MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS
The following is the list of material standards and specifications for which the building components have
been designed:
Material Specifications
SR. No. Structural Components Material Specifications
1 Hot Rolled Section (I-Sections) ASTM-A36
2 Connection plates ASTM - A36
3 Connection bolts ASTM - A325 or A490
4 Washers ASTM F436
MATERIAL STRENGTH
Primary as well as the secondary structural members of the building shall be made from pre-engineered steel
sections manufactured from A-36 steel plates.
