in order to receive their schedule. Fresh-
men may pre-order their yearbooks at a
special “Welcome to CHS” price.

PE Uniforms will be sold in Senator
Square for students to purchase.
STUDENT BODY CARD
STICKERS (SBC) - $25.00
Student Body Card stickers are required
for all students involved in all extra-cur-
ricular activities; gets student into home
games FREE. Student ID cards will be
provided once school starts; the State of
Nevada requires all students to have a
pictured student ID or activity card when
registering for State tests.
LOCKERS - $10.00
This fee covers all four years of high
school. Students who have already pur-
chased a locker will keep the same locker.
The $10.00 fee includes a lock. THERE
IS NO SHARING OF LOCKERS! $5.00
replacement fee for lost locks.
PARKING PERMIT
$20 during Pre-Registration Day Only –
August 10, 2018
$25 beginning Monday, August 20.
Students will be able to pick their PER-
SONAL parking space for the incoming
school year, only if parents have updated
student information in Infinite Campus!

PIONEER HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION
Pioneer High School has been recog-
nized by the Nevada Department of Educa-
tion as a “Highlighted School” for achieve-
ment in 2011 and 2018. PHS is accredited
through AdvancED. In addition to the
small campus and classroom style setting,
hands-on outdoor activities, and core cur-
riculum offerings, PHS offers CTE (Career
and Technical Education) classes in Health
Information Systems. These classes give
students both high school elective credit
and college credits at no charge to stu-
dents. PHS offers Standard, CTE, Ad-
vanced and Honors High School Diplomas.
Pioneer High School has a highly qualified
and talented staff to meet a wide range
of students’ educational needs. Through
partnerships and grants, PHS is able to
provide students with elective choices in
sports, art, environmental science, and
extracurricular activities such as; lifeguard
certification, rock climbing, camping,
cross country and downhill skiing, graphic
arts, guitar, Jobs for American Graduates
(JAG), and a well-known and respected
student leadership organization.

CLASS SCHEDULES
All students enrolled at PHS and Carson
Online (Grades 9-12) will be able to pick
up their class schedules on Monday, Au-
gust 20th at 7:35 am. Students will report
to their alpha rooms listed on (Building A,
Rooms 2 – 5) to gather their schedules.
TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION
Students attending PHS may ride the
existing CCSD school bus routes. JAC bus
passes are also available for PHS students.

CARSON ONLINE INFORMATION
Carson Online offers hundreds of classes
to students in the Carson City School Dis-
trict. They are free of charge during the
regular school year if students are enrolled
full time in CCSD. Students enrolled
in Carson Online can attend classes on
campus. Flexible scheduling can also be
arranged for students who cannot attend
campus sessions. The Carson Online lab
setting includes both highly qualified
teachers online and teachers available
on campus for daily assistance. Students
enrolled in Carson Online classes achieved
a passing rate of 97% in the previous
school year while enrolled at PHS. Call

PRE-K REGISTRATION 2018-2019
All children who will be 4 years old by
September 30, 2018 may qualify for the
Carson City School District Pre-K program
for the 2018-2019 school year. For addi-

ENGLISH LEARNER PROGRAM
DESCRIPTION
The Carson City School District is ded-
icated to serving the needs of English
Learners – students who speak a language
other than English at home and score
below proficient on English assessments
when they enter our school system. In
order to assure equity and access to an
excellent education, the District’s English
Learner Program provides additional ser-
vices to students with limited English lan-
guage skills so that they may benefit from
all the District’s educational programs.
Parent involvement is highly valued in
our district, and we invite all parents to
become involved in their child’s education.
Our goal is to provide a supportive envi-
ronment for English Learners with a focus
on academic achievement and college and
career readiness. If you would like more
