Taboc Guinacot Basketball Tournament

GROUND RULES

1. The tournament is an INTER-BARANGAY Category.

2. The TOURNAMENT FORMAT will be played by Knock-Out system.
3. A team must bear the name of the Barangay as represented by.
4. A player can only play in one team and one category.
5. A player must wear his team uniform every game.
6. A player must tuck in his uniform when playing.
7. Any player who commits an Unsportsmanlike Foul must be rested for2 minutes.
8. Any player who commits 2 Technical Foul or 2 Unsportsmanlike Foul and/or a pair of these will
automatically be disqualified from playing the rest of the game.
9. Any player who commits 2 Technical Foul or 2 Unsportsmanlike Foul and/or a pair of these will
automatically be disqualified.
10. Any player who commits disqualifying foul or involved in a fighting situation, maybe suspended
or ban from the league depending on the gravity of the offense and the discretion of the
Committee and the Sports Commissioner.
11. A team shall have maximum of 15 players.
12. All team are required to wear complete uniform all throughout the league.
13. All team shall have only one (1) Coach, an Assistant Coach if present and a Team Captain.
14. Only 10 minutes warm up given to booth teams.
15. In the last two (2) minutes of the 4th quarter, if the team has 3 more time-outs it will become 2
time-outs.
16. Every game must be played on time. The “Rule of Succession” must be observed.
17. Only 15 minutes grace period is given to team before it is declared loser by forfeiture.
18. The player who is influenced by alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs can’t play the game.
19. A varsity or commercial player can play if he will be picked-up by a team.
20. The referee has the “elastic power” to make judgment in any situation not clearly specified in
the Latest FIBA Rules as long as it will not place either team at a disadvantage.
21. The latest FIBA (Federation of International Basketball Amateurs) Rules shall govern the whole
duration of the tournament.
