Hello Konsult, this is Aman Gupta.

I am a graduate from BITS Pilani having a work experience of 2 years

as a software developer in the FinTech domain. One year back, I came across the works of Billions in
Change, an organization started by Manoj Bhargava, CEO of Innovations Ventures LLC. The company has
engineered multiple solutions focused at solving basic problems of the Indian society i.e. water, electricity
and agriculture. A month later, I was fortunately introduced to the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, a
social entrepreneur and Padmashree awardee who revolutionized the menstrual health of rural women
though innovation and his zeal to help. I was deeply moved by the capabilities of the entrepreneurial mind
and the need for its optimal use for the socio-economic problems of the society. After deep introspection, I
realized the meaning of happiness to me was not financial security but the impact I create on the world. I
took the decision to leave my engineering career and aim for social entrepreneurship as a long-term goal.
To succeed in an entrepreneurial journey, it is imperative to understand how to develop business strategies
that can ensure sustainable growth of the organization. I realized that an impact on the masses demands
diligent planning, execution and management. And this lead to my heightened interest in the field of strategy
and consulting, an area in which i would like to gain industry experience before walking the road of
entrepreneurship.
Konsult offers me a wholesome experience to put my classroom learnings to practice. Along with the
chance to organize various events and promote the vertical in the campus, it would give me the opportunity
to interact with like-minded people, connect with seniors and alumni in the domain, and provide a platform
to boost my continued interest. Though there is a lot for me to gain from Konsult, I also have a lot to offer
in return. Event management has always been one of my strenghts and USPs. At BITS Pilani, as the club
coordinator for cultural festival, I led my team to organize the first prom night of BITS Pilani, that was
sponsored by Nestle and generated a profit of Rs.20000 for the festival. As the secretary for radio club of
BITS Pilani, i led the team to conduct highest number of radio shows (3 times the annual average) and got
the club budget increased manifolds. Also, I have been instrumental in organizing many stage events,
seminars and robotics events at BITS Pilani. I strongly believe that my team and event management
experience can complement the activities of Konsult and my ideas and initiatives can take it to a new height.
