With the changes in 7.1.5, talents choice became dependant on amount of enemies.
Master Poisoner in every scenario possible.
Tier 30 talents
Nightstalker is the current best talent in this tier, as the first spell you cast after a Vanish does 50% more
damage. This means that we can add an additional 50% damage to our Rupture in the opener and every
other 2 min. If you have Mantle of the Master Assassin, then cast Vanish into Envenom.
Tier 45 talents
Vigor became better than Deeper Stratagem due to the nerfs that came in 7.1.5 to Deeper Stratagem, now it
outvalues Deeper Stratagem DPS-wise.
Tier 60 talents
This is all about survival. Elusiveness or Cheat Death will be picked on 100% of the fights.
Tier 75 talents
3
You will be using Thuggee as it resets the cooldown of Garrote, if the target which is affected by the ability
dies. Internal Bleeding does have potential, but as we can't stun 95% of the things in raids, then Thuggee
outshines.
Tier 90 talents

Talents
Tier 15 talents
Ghostly Strike increases damage done to target by your abilities by 10% for 15 seconds. This is the strongest
choice currently for ST, where as Swordmaster is stronger for AoE, if you constantly have to switch targets. If
you have Greenskin’s Watterlogged Wristcuffs, then go Quick Draw.
Tier 30 talents
This is all mobility and is personal preference, however Grappling Hook works just like warriors Heroic Leap and
is a powerful mobility ability.
Tier 45 talents
Deeper Stratagem empowers your finishers by 5% damage-wise. This is huge for Run Through, which is our
main damaging ability.
Tier 60 talents
Elusiveness or Cheat Death is used on most fights, as they are a good way to cheese some mechanics. But Iron
Stomach might see some use on consistent high damage fights, if you wish to help out your healers. This tier
depends on what you need, to keep yourself alive.
Tier 75 talents
Mostly PvP talents, however Prey on the Weak will be used most times, as it increased damage on targets
affected by our Cheap Shot by 10%. Dirty Tricks can be used as well for free Gouge, which grants 1 combo point.
Tier 90 talents
Alacrity gives us up to 20% haste, which is very powerful enough to outscale other two options, as their
damage are below average.
Tier 100 talents
Marked for Death is currently the strongest pick here by farm in every possible scenario.

Play-style
The Outlaw opener [With Marked for Death]
Marked for Death at 10 seconds before pull -> Roll the Bones 1 second before pull* -> Ambush -> Ghostly Strike
-> Adrenaline Rush -> Saber Slash -> Run Through -> Curse of the Dreadblades -> Saber Slash until 6 combo
points* -> Run Through -> Saber Slash* -> Saber Slash to 6 combo points* -> Run Through, repeat.
* = If you don’t get Shark Infested Waters, True Bearing or 2+ buffs, then reroll during Curse of the
Dreadblades.
** = If you have Opportunity procs, then spend them IF you’re energy starved, if not, then cast Saber Slash.
Rotation
Keep 100% uptime on Roll the Bones and fish for great buffs [See Roll the Bones fishing], using 5-6 combo
pointsn. Use Adrenaline Rush off cooldown. Use Marked for Death/Death from Above as often as possible. Use
Opportunity procs when beneath 6 combo points [Unless you have Curse of the Dreadblades active and are in
danger of energy capping] Use spare combo points on Run Through.
[Don’t use any combo point gainers for the 6’th combo point, if you have 5 combo points, as you lose out on
too many potential combo points EXCEPT if your Ghostly Strike has less than 6 seconds remaining on it’s uptime
OR you have Cheap Tricks because then you can cast Gouge. BOTH THESE EXCEPTIONS ARE INVALID IF YOU HAVE
BROADSIDES]
Roll the Bones fishing
Always keep 3+ buffs. Always keep True Bearing. If AR or CotDB is coming up in <15 seconds keep shark.
Otherwise, re-roll.
What can I get from Roll the Bones?
Shark Infested Waters -> 25% critical strike.
Broadsides -> 1 extra combo point from each cast of a combo point generating spell.
Grand Melee -> 50% attack speed and 25% leech.
Jolly Roger -> 10% higher chance for Saber Slash to strike an additional time.
Buried Treasure -> 25% energy regeneration.
True Bearing -> Decreasing cooldown of your main abilities by 2 seconds for each combo point spent.

______________________________________________________________________________________________________
Talents
Tier 15 talents
Master of Subtlety is by far the strongest option here, as the other two have either been nerfed/hotfixed to a
quite weak state.
Tier 30 talents
Subterfuge is the most powerful choice here, as it grants you longer time in Stealth. Subterfuge acts like
Stealth and Shadow Dance and therefore grants you access to the spells and passives granted by this stance of
Stealth and Shadow Dance.
Tier 45 talents
Deeper Stratagem outshines its two opponents yet again as it can make your executioners do 5% more
damage, however leaves 0 room for mistakes. If you are new at sub, I recommend you playing with
Anticipation as it is more forgiving. [Mastery: Executioner and Deeper Stratagem has great synergy]
Tier 60 talents
This is all about survival. Elusiveness or Cheat Death will be picked on 100% of the fights.
17
Tier 75 talents
Mostly PvP talents, however Prey on the Weak will be used most times, as it increased damage on targets
affected by our Cheap Shot by 10%.
Tier 90 talents
Premeditation gives you 1 extra combo point from casting Cheap Shot and Shadowstrike.
Tier 100 talents
Master of Subtlety gives you 25 energy each time you enter Stealth or Shadow Dance. [Interacts with Vanish]
Death from Above outperforms Master of Subtlety at 3+ targets.
______________________________________________________________________________________________________
Play-style
The Subtlety opener
Subtlety opener changes from pull to pull, due to Shadow Techniques, which gives you a chance to gain 1 extra
combo point from auto attacks, but here is a baseline.
Use Symbols of Death pre-pull at 11 seconds -> Symbols of Death at 1 second [Pandemic effect] -> Shadow
Blades -> Shadowstrike to 5- 6 combo points -> Nightblade -> Goremaw’s Bite -> Shadow Dance ->
Shadowstrike to 5-6 combo points -> Eviscerate -> Repeat.
Rotation
Maintain Symbols of Death uptime -> Maintain Nightblade debuff -> Use Shadow Blades off cooldown -> Use
Goremaw’s Bite to achieve max combo point usage -> *Use Shadow Dance before capping with three charges
(or when burst is needed) -> Backstab as main filler -> Eviscerate with 5-6 combo points. [Don’t Shadowstrike
for the 6’th combo point, if you have 5 combo points, as you lose out on too many potential combo points]
* Remember to pool energy before burst periods [Remember that you get 25 energy from casting Shadow
Dance, due to Master of Shadows]
Noteable changes from old Subtlety
Shuriken Storm does 200% increased damage whilst Stealthed. This means that it’s worth to cast this in
Stealth/Subterfuge/Shadow Dance, IF casted when there is two or more targets!
