Senate Democratic Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins Earns High

Score From New York League of Conservation Voters
(Albany, NY) Senate Democratic Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins earned a 92% on her
scorecard from the New York State League of Conservation Voters (NYCLV). The ranking,
which is the highest of all New York State Legislative Leaders, recognizes Senate Democratic
Leader Stewart-Cousins’ long-time commitment to protecting New York’s environment, natural
resources, and water supplies.

“We all have a responsibility to protect our environment and ensure we give our children and
grandchildren a cleaner and greener world,” Senate Democratic Leader Andrea Stewart-
Cousins said. “The prosperity of our entire state, and each of our regional economies, rely on
clean water, a healthy agricultural sector, and the natural beauty that brings millions of tourists to
New York annually. I thank the New York League of Conservation Voters for recognizing my
efforts, and for noting that under my leadership the Senate Democratic Conference has been
outspoken in the fight to protect our environment.”

The New York League of Conservation Voters (NYCLV) issued their annual scorecard for all
New York State legislators. Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins received a score of 92%, placing
her among the top legislators on this critical issue and the highest scoring Legislative Conference
