While writing some of the articles published in Scribd, I started realizing thatmany Sanskrit and English words are connected. In India, it is easy to observe how the words gradually change as one moves from one place to another. There is a strange regular pattern .of the change and variation of  pronunciation. I am not a linguistic. Also there are good references and scholarly work on thesubject like the one in this web site <http://web.cn.edu/kwhee>I have written below some of my ideas of the similar words in both the languages. There are many more. Which I will add later and re-publish the table below. The Sanskrit words are written as per ITRANS (please refer <http://www.sanskrit-lexicon.uni-koeln.de/monier/>).

'bIja' means root or seed, 'gaNita' means the art of calculation.A speech sound made with the middle part of the tongue (dorsum) touching the soft palate is known as a velar consonant. It is possible for the soft palate to retract and elevate during speech to separate the oral cavity (mouth) from the nasal cavity in order to produce the oral speech sounds. If this separation is incomplete, air escapes through the nose, causing speech to be 3animationan, praaNalife force4Arithmaticarthamitiartha=meaning.miti-measureartha' also means realization, something that is realized or measurable.5augment(i) agra, (ii) agram(i) front, (ii) ahead of 6aviationaBrasky, atmosphere7axisakShaaxis8behaviourvyavahaarabehaviour9boybaalaboy10Browvrubrow11bygonevigatabygone, departed
