Assessment strategy: There are two components of assessment: continuous assessment and the examinable component. To be sure of a pass, you need to achieve a minimum score of 40 in each
component. Similarly, to be sure of a higher grade, a minimum set score must be achieved in each component (see the Assessment Handbook: Undergraduate Modules).
Continuous assessment component: TMA 01 and TMA 02 are weighted at 16%; TMAs 03–06 are weighted at 17% each. TMAs 01–06 constitute 100 per cent of this component.
Substitution: As described in the Assessment Handbook: Undergraduate Modules, substitution is not permitted for any TMA on this module.
Examinable component: The end of module assessment (EMA) is 100 per cent of this component. There is no final examination on this module.
