Innovaccer Inc. is a San Francisco-headquartered, healthcare SaaS Company. Innovaccer enables healthcare
providers (hospitals and similar systems) to make healthcare delivery more efficient by unleashing the power of
data. Datashop, Innovaccer’s data platform, has been deployed across several healthcare customers spread
across US such as Mercy ACO, Compass Medical, Catalyst Health, Osler, PHIX HIE to name a few.

Market and Opportunity

Care delivery in the US is rapidly changing with evolving payment models. Since the US spends $3 trillion
annually on healthcare and 31.5% Americans have multiple chronic conditions, 40% of the payments in
healthcare will be tied to value-based outcomes -- where doctors have incentives tied to wellness of patients.

With over 20 supportive customers in the US, Innovaccer is one of the fastest growing San Francisco-based
healthcare platform company.

Problem and Datashop solution

The amount of data being generated today, especially in healthcare, is immense- making data integration a
daunting task in healthcare. A lot of this data in healthcare is generated through different data systems like
 electronic healthcare records (EHRs) -- which hold information of different medical conditions of
patients
 claims data -- insurance claims submissions
 patient admit and discharge feeds (ADT) -- information on patients were admitted and discharged from
hospitals, and what conditions were treated
 lab tests -- e.g., blood tests
 practice management systems -- to hold scheduling information, insurance information, etc
 static excel sheets for a wide variety of ad-hoc tasks
 paper records
among many others making healthcare non-interoperable and hindering the transition to value-based care --
with incentives to keep population healthy. In a large health system (hospital networks) spread across several
geographies, this data problem magnifies to a major barrier to delivering effective ROI.

Furthermore, no two healthcare organizations could be the same. The requirements of healthcare organizations
differ from the kind of data types they deal with to their end goals for a data-driven practice.

Innovaccer’s product, Datashop, is a smart and coming-of-age platform that employs a Hadoop-based big data
repository- Integrated Data Lake. The platform can collect, clean, standardize, and monitor varying data
formats. After integrating them into meaningful records, these records can be analysed, processed, and
leveraged to deliver accurate care. From the administration point of view, organizations can highly optimize
performances, and realize better financial and clinical outcomes through advanced analytics.
