------------Ready 4 Takeoff-----------

--------------------------------------------------

Taxi Speed: 30.0 when straight; 22.0 when turning (yellow line should be in between
the fire and master caution buttons).

Altitude Engine Power below 5.000 ft, engine power 220 knots
from 5.000 to 10.000 ft, engine power 250 knots
above 10.000 ft. engine power 290 knots
Takeoff Engine Power 90.0
Indicated Speed is shown on the Primary Flight Display, right side, along with
altitude, left side, and Flight Level, center.

------------------------
DESCENDING - Flaps must be opened slowly. First set flaps in 1. One minute later
set flaps in 5.
SPEED: When flaps are in "1" max speed is 200 Knots.
When flaps are in "5" max speed is 180 Knots.
Once below 3.000 Ft, flaps can be set in "20" with a max speed of 150 Knots.
After a while, reduce speed at 148 Knots and set flaps in 30.

--------------

LANDING GEARS Operational: Open at a maximum speed of 270 Knots.

Close them at a maximum speed of 235 Knots.

--------------------------------------------------
2)Autopilot: CMD is the button to click to engage the AP. However, F/D (flight
direction( and A/T Arm must be enabled before to engage the AP, as well as any
other commands).
IAS MACH is the speed that we want to reach. SPEED button must be selected to set
everything right.
CHANGE LEVEL: is the button to click if we want to maintain the actual speed.
VNAV and LNAV are used to follow the Flight Plan set in the FMC. VNAV will follow
the altitude set in the FMC's flight plan, while the LNAV the other infos. *VNAV
disable the IAS MACH data*.
COURSE & HEADING: is what we set to fly to or from a VOR point. COURSE is different
than HEADING because is useful to set the real direction of the plane and not only
the pointing of it to the VOR.
HEADING has ome knob and 2 settings: the internal one is used to set the blank of
the airplane (cio l'inclinazione laterale espressa in gradi). while the external
one is used to set the heading degree.
APP: stands for APPROACH and... (?)

TO SET ALTIMETER: use the knob with the STD button in it. Tun the internal know to
adjust the altimeter using IN (inches).

---------------------------------------------------
3)FMC (Flight Management Computer): (to change datas inside each section, press the
button and click on the sides buttons where we want that data to go)
FMC's buttons are:
FPLN: (Flight Plan) here we set the destination (To), waypoint and way to reach
them (Via). Origin is the departure airport; Dest is the destination airport. Just
press letters and click on sides button on the upper corners.
FPLN bottom right: VNAV: here we set the "transition altitude" got from the online
flight planner. Once we go above this altitude, we click STD (standard) located on
the left side of Autopilot section.
CLB: (Climb) is where we set the speed we want to maintain at each altitude.
CRZ: (Cruize) is where we set the speed that we want to maintain once we reach the
desidered altitude and where we set the desidered altitude while in cruize mode.
DES: (Descent) where we set the speed we want ot maintain while descending.
DEP: departure informations. Once inside, selecting Dep (next page), we'll see the
Runway (RW) numbers for our takeoff, SID ansd STAR. Once ready, click EXECUTE
(EXEC) to activate the new infos.
Inside DEP we also find the ARRIVAL section, where we have to select the right
STARS procedure's name and the Approach ( if below a message pops up, is about the
altitude limit at a date waypoint.).
Once infos are set in DEP section, by clicking LEGS button we'll find new infos
(navigate with PREV and NEXT page). It's important that no vectors or discontinuity
are present. In this case, simply go to the next page, select the first waypoint,
hit prev page and select the button where vector is. Repeat if vectors is still
there.
ACT LEGS show the activated waypoint at the right and the altitude to get at each
waypoint at the left side. NM are the nautical miles that divide us from the
waypoints.

To save all thee infos set, we click on INDEX > ROUTE MENU > PILOT ROUTE LIST and
click letters to give a name to the flight route.
To start configurate everything: click on FMC > POS INIT (position initialization)
> click letters to set REF AIRPORT and then click on the side button > ROUTE >
ORIGIN airport and DESTINATION one (click letters to set it)
> DEP/ARR to set the runway according to the flight plan of Simbrief or SkyVector.
Select it with side button along with the VIA route and hit ACTIVATE on the bottom
right and hit EXEC.
Do the same by going back to DEP/ARR for the arrival runway etc.
ROUTE > set all the waypoint got in Simbrief online flight planner or in SkyVector
flight planner.

flight plan > CLB > CRZ > DEP/ARR

APU is an engine located on the rear-central wing and it's useful to give more
power to the airplane while starting its main engines.
