AFGE is taking action against the executive orders - we've filed lawsuits, mobilized calls to legislators, held town hall calls to educate our membership, and held rallies. AFGE will do what we can at the national and district level but you can't rely on us to do everything for you. We need locals and individual members to step up and defend your union. Take action, share your ideas with us, and refuse to let them destroy our union without a fight. Part of locals ability to take action will be at our convention where delegates will debate a per-capita increase to fund increased organizing. Another pivotal way to step up will be on campaigns for the November mid- terms elections for Congress. If we don't prevail in November, our union may not be recognizable by the presidential election in 2020.
