Development and design with the environment in mind Easy to dismantle vehicle structure
In 1998, Toyota was the first in the auto industry to introduce ISO14001*1 in its design and development division. Since then, it has been assessing
recyclability in advance, at the vehicle development stage. From 2005, we introduced the“Eco-VAS”*3 comprehensive environmental assessment
system, which is based on the approach of LCA*2 (Life Cycle Assessment), through the entire vehicle development process.
