This introduction will show the general use of the most


frequently used software’s by ClampOn.

Sand Monitor 3.2
• ClampOn sand monitor 3.2 is the newest of the sand softwares we have. This software has a new
”look” compared to the older Multisensor softwares. This softwares is more windows based,
therefore we have the same menu options as we do in a normal Windows software.

In this section you will learn how to:

- How to install and setup a sensor unit with the correct ID, com ports and protocol.
- How to edit tag names.
- How to use the velocity calculator and how to update the zero and step values.
- How to setup a zero and step table.
- How to setup correct modbus specifications.
- How to setup a client/server connection.
- How to open and use the Trend view.
- How to export and import settings
- How to diagnose Modbus and sensor communication
Setup
• This image shows the main window of the ClampOn sand monitoring software. By
pressing file on the left hand top corner you will be able to view all the different
configuration settings. In this presentation we will use most of the different options here,
so make sure you are familiar with how to access them.

• This will show you how open, use and update zero and step values.

• To make a zero and step table you would need either a sand injection calibration or zero
and step values from 3 different production rates. This will show you how to update a
zero and step table.

• To input a zero and step table from *.txt file.

• This will show you how to setup modbus communication in sand monitor 3.2
