RESUMEN
ABSTRACT
The following work has been carried out in order to obtain the relative atomic mass of
magnesium experimentally. Although the relative atomic mass of magnesium is a
known quantity, we try to reproduce an experiment that helps to optimally obtain a
result similar or equal to the one already known. Different materials and equipment
have been provided to carry out this experience; In addition, the use of known
equations, such as the equation of the ideal gases "PV = nRT", the equation: PH2 + PH2O
+ ∆P = PBAR and other formulas such as hydrostatic pressure, etc. The result obtained for
the relative atomic mass of magnesium was Ar = 28.7 with an error of 18% (for
experiment 1) and Ar = 28.3 with an error of 16% (for experiment 2).
∆P = ρAGUA g ∆h (3)
DATOS BIBLIOGRÁFICOS
∆P = (996,59kg/m3) (9,80665m/s2)
Presión de vapor de agua (PAGUA)=26.7 (0,0690m)
Torr=3559,71 Pa
∆P = 6,70x102 Pa
ρAGUA =996.59 kg/m3
Ahora con lo hallado en la ecuación (3)
R= 8.3145 Pa m3/mol K se puede reemplazar este valor en la
ecuación (2)
Masa atómica relativa de hidrógeno=
1.008 PH2 = 101192 Pa – 3559.71Pa - 6,70x102
Pa
Masa atómica relativa de magnesio=
24.305 PH2 = 1011,92x102 Pa – 35,5971x102 Pa -
6,70x102 Pa
Cero en la escala Celsius= 273.15 K
PH2 = 969,6x102 Pa
Aceleración de la gravedad= 9.80665
m/s2 PH2 = 9,70x104 Pa
CONCLUSIONES
cercano al 5% de error
permitido.
Realizar el mismo experimento
más de una vez hace que los
datos experimentales sean más
precisos cada vez.
