ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to St. Xavier’s

College that has been trying to provide quality education in the field of

Information Technology. And to our lecturer Miss Gayatri Amatya for

her helpful comments and suggestion which helped us a great deal

when completing our project.

We would like to thank KIST Bank and specially Mr.Rishi

Neupane,an IT department manager of KIST Bank for providing us with

the required information on ATM and its different working mechanism.

We would also like to thank Mr. Sikendra Chaudhary, an ATM

technician of Standard chartered Bank for providing us with all the

providing us their precious time.

ABSTRACT

This case study has disclosed the various methods, systems, and
software for configuring an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) of KIST
Bank and Standard Chartered Bank Limited. In general, the ATM may
have the capabilities to perform general types of operations such
debit, credit, balance transfer or balance inquiry operations. Certain of
these general types of operations may have one or more specific
implementation based on the hardware capabilities and software
configuration, working mechanism, customer services, challenges and
future considerations about the ATM which has been clearly illustrated
through this case study.
