INTRODUCTION
Urinal Auto-Flush comes up with sensor activated flushing systems detect the distance between
the automatic flush valve and the user. Once the user walks away, the toilet or urinal automatically
flushes. Automatic flushers for toilets and urinals provide a clean and convenient solution.

BY MEANS OF AN INFRARED SENSOR
When a user stands in front of the urinal, the infrared sensor detects his/her body heat.
After the user is finished and walks away, the infrared sensor detects the loss of heat and activates
the flush mechanism. It then releases an inline sanitizer during the flush, which cleans the toilet or
urinal each time it is used.

FEATURES OF AN URINAL AUTO-FLUSH

Today’s Urinal Auto-Flush has new features that helps people to be comfortable and germ-free
when using urinal flush. It consists of the following:
 Proximity system for hygienic hands-free operation
 State-of-the-art electronics prevent ghost flushing
 Manual override allows flushing during power outages
 Chrome plating / Stainless Steel on exposed parts
 Includes wall box with front access
 Detection Zone: 50cm – 200cm Preset

 Used high grade Infrared Sensor
 It has Solenoid Valve to control fluid flow
 Water Consumption for One Flushing Cycle. Urinal: 1.2 – 3 Liters. Toilet – 6 Liters.
 Auto-Flush sensor could be wall mounted. This wall mounted has a power supply that is
connected to a Power Source / Electric Box.

 Auto-Flush sensor could be detachable. This detachable sensor is battery operated. It
could be operated by 2 to 4 AA Battery type.

Figure 8. Block Diagram
The diagram shown above shows the flow of how the components of Urinal Auto-Flush
works. First, the urine flow sensor gets activated when it detects urine flow, wherein when urine
stops flowing, the urine flow sensor sends a first signal to the controller, whereupon receiving the
first signal, the controller sends a second signal to the water valve to allow water flow from the
water supply through the water valve and water spout; whereupon receiving the first signal, the
controller sends a third signal to the timer to start time counting, the timer sends back to the
controller a fourth signal after a first pre-determined period; whereupon receiving the fourth signal,
the controller sends a fifth signal to the water valve to close the valve and stop water flow.
