Draft multiple-
view assembly, subassembly, and layout drawings as required for manufacture and repair of machines and
equipment.

 Take the lead on partnering with warehouse teams to implement projects

 Work with your manager as well as the greater HQ Ops team to create project plans
 Use and develop tracking tools to collect project results
 Evaluate new processes and solutions to increase warehouse efficiency
 Use AutoCAD to keep up to date floor plans of our facilities
 Use our 3D modeling software to justify process and layout changes
 Identify new processes and solutions to improve ergonomics in warehouses
 Create safety guidelines for new projects and work with sites to implement training plan
 Identify process changes and solutions to improve product quality and partner with quality team to
implement changes
 Assists with processes, tools, and systems for project estimating that are accurate and efficient.
 Communicates effectively and appropriately externally with the client and internally with project
resources and stakeholders, as required.
 Ensures that company procedures and design methodology is consistently applied including all required
project documents filed as required.
 The successful candidate is skilled and experienced in the design of machinery, has firsthand knowledge
and working experience with pumps, plumbing, electrical layouts, pneumatics, heating systems, blowers,
automation, and has extensive skills in 3D CAD (Solidworks and 2D AutoCAD) and BOM generation.
Engineer will take project design responsibility from initial sketches through renderings, approval
drawings, BOM creation, fabrication drawing creation, schedule updating, and system final test and run-
off. The professional must have excellent communication skills and be willing to work in a team
environment while maintaining a very high level of organization, product quality, and cost control. Must
be able to devise new solutions to problems, illustrate and convey concepts clearly in English, perform
FEA and record data and calculations, perform heat and load calculations, prepare manuals, charts,
graphs, or otherwise deliver a system that meets ACT and its customer's normally accepted engineering
standards.
Confer with department personnel to clarify or resolve problems and develops design

 Perform increasingly responsible and specialized mechanical drafting job duties focused on food plant
ventilation systems, using AutoCAD or Solidworks software.
 Identify and verify specifications by examining engineering documents and performing calculations.
 Draft, measure, and layout ductwork.
 Develop and edit new and existing drafting documents; make necessary corrections.
 Exercise independent judgment with minimal supervision in a solution oriented and at times physically
demanding work environment.
 Design, develop, and maintain spreadsheets requiring data interpretation and manipulation; pull
required reports.
 Participate in design meetings with clients, including owners and mechanical engineers.
 Follow through on requests and meet deadlines.
 Comply with all operating policies, procedures, plans, and protocols.
  Interfaces with other engineering functions to coordinate the release of product
improvements and/or new products. Launches, releases, approves and implements or
issues engineering change requests as required to support design engineering and
Operations with new and existing products.
   Uses basic engineering and DFx principles to estimate and reduce manufacturing
and/or product costs, and improve delivered product quality; determines time standards
and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements.


Skills

 Knowledge and entry level proficiency with AutoCAD, Solidworks, and mechanical drafting principles
and skillsets.
 Build increasing capability in performing non-routine and specialized CAD assignments, such as:
 document existing conditions;
 calculate designs and interpret data;
 provide preliminary sketches for drawings; revise, and edit drawings, assist with design concepts.

