MODULOCKE - all rules are modular, so it's possible to choose which ones to use
without compromising anything
- Change Battle Style from "Shift"/"Switch" to "Set" - Only use Pokemon Center right after beating a Gym, if you feel like items are mostly useless and want to actually spend money - No Generation Ubers (ex: Blakiken in Gen 3 is allowed, but not in Gen 6) or legendaries - Having some Pokemon just for HMs is completely allowed no matter the nature of the challenge - Roll D6 to determine what starter to begin with [STARTLOCKE] - 1-2: Grass type - 3-4: Fire type - 5-6: Water type - Roll D4 to determine what types may be had (starter is exception) [TYPELOCKE] - 1: Flying,Psychic,Ghost,Bug - 2: Water,Ice,Grass,Poison - 3: Fire,Electric,Dark,Dragon - 4: Ground,Rock,Steel,Fight - Normal type is always available, but if it has a second type, it belongs in that type's group - If a Pokemon comes to have a type from your group later, you may have it. If it loses the type, it can't be had anymore - All captured Pokemon are assigned a random D6 number and your team must have only one of each number [DICELOCKE] - Use a D6 to assign rules to each Pokemon (best if using Dicelocke's numbers to ensure variety) [RESTRILOCKE] - 1: Can't be switched into battle - 2: Can't hold items - 3: No restrictions (starters may be considered a 3) - 4: Only has two damaging moves - 5: May not have moves that deal damage along with status effects - 6: Can't purposefully give the final attack in any Pokemon - Your Pokemon's levels must be bellow a certain level depending on the gym you're facing [LEVELOCKE] - Gen 1: 14-21-24-29-43-43-47-50 - Gen 2: 13-17-19-25-31-35-34-41 - Gen 3: 15-19-24-29-31-33-42-46 - Gen 4: 14-22-32-37-26-41-44-50 - Gen 5: 14-20-23-27-31-35-39-43 - Gen 5.5: 13-18-24-30-33-39-48-51 - Gen 6: 12-25-32-34-37-42-48-59 - There isn't a suitable defined level for the Elite Four due to the gap between them and the Champion - Another option is an average level progression for all generations. This may result in very easy battles and absolutely living hells in the same run: 13-21- 25-31-34-38-41-50 - You can't do certain things before beating some gyms [GYMLOCKE] - First badge: can't have more than 3 Pokemon in the party - Second badge: can't evolve Pokemon - Third badge: can't use the Fishing Rods - Fourth badge: can't have more than 4 Pokemon in the party - Fifth badge: Pokemon can't learn TMs - Sixth badge: can't evolve Pokemon twice - Seventh badge: Pokemon can't hold items for battle - Eight badge: can't have more than 5 Pokemon in the party - Challenge ends according to generation (some are only for specific versions) [ENDLOCKE] - The death and Pokemon Center clauses end upon defeating the Elite Four - Gen 1: defeat Champion, Mewtwo and Legendary Bird Trio - Gen 2: defeat Tower Duo, Legendary Bird Trio, Legendary Beasts Trio, Mewtwo and Red - Gen 3: defeat Steve, Regi Trio, finish Trainer Hill and finish Battle Frontier - Gen 4: defeat Lake Trio, Creation Trio and Champion Cynthia - Gen 5: defeat Swords of Justice, Ghetsis, Kyurem and Champion Iris - Gen 6: defeat Zygarde and Champion Diantha - All: if pheasible, completing Pokedex - If two or more players are doing the challenge together, after each gym they fight against each other with one Pokemon [CAGELOCKE] - The losing Pokemon is lost and the winning gets a second chance if it's ever defeated - No Pokemon can enter the cage more than once - If all manage to complete the challenge, they make a final 6v6 battle to decide who truly wins
