Method Statement of cracks Injection using MasterRoc MP 303 CE

MasterRoc MP 303 CE is a highly reactive two-component acrylic sealing resin with a low viscosity for good
penetration. The product cures in a fast reacting acrylic resin with adjustable reaction speed for permanent
water sealing and layer curtaining of concrete and masonry. It is CE certified according to EN 1504-5.

Surface preparation
 Clean the surface of the crack to remove all loose materials and contaminating substances with
water blasting equipment.
 Drill holes every 200 to 300 mm, and 50 mm away from the crack, and with the correct angle to
match the crack at the middle of the concrete thickness, along the entire crack, using a suitable drill
bit adapted to the parker size. Holes position should alternate from one side to the other side of
crack, if possible.

Packer installation
 Fix the packers into the drilled holes.
 Close the crack surface with an adapted mortar or resin to confine the void (optional).

Product Packaging (Standard packaging)

▪ MasterRoc MP 303 CE Resin: 22.5 kg can
▪ MasterRoc MP 303 CE Accelerator: 1 kg can
▪ MasterRoc MP 303 CE Hardener: 1 kg can
▪ MasterRoc MP 303 CE Retarder: 1 kg can (optional for longer open time)

Components preparation
Always prepare a volume of Part A and Part B able to be consuming in the next 5 hours.
 Component A: Premix the Resin (22.5 kg) with 4.5 % of Accelerator (1 kg) to activate it prior to use.
 Component B: Dissolve the Hardener powder (variable from 0.20% [0.04 kg] up to 5.00% [1 kg]) into
20 kg of water.

The amount of Hardener regulates the pot life and gel time (see Table 1). It can be increased up to 5% (1 kg)
for very fast reaction or decrease by adding 1 kg Retarder (see Table 2). For steel reinforcement injection,
the amount of hardener powder should be limited to 1.5 % (e.g. 300 g / 20 kg of Water).

Equipment
The activated components are injected in the ratio of 1:1 by volume, using a two-component injection pump,
equipped with a static in-line mixer or by premixing the two components thoroughly and using a one-
component pump (only for long open time, when adding Retarder to the component B preparation). It has to
be stainless steel piston bodies, preferentially.

Application procedure
 Start injection of the product from the lowest injection packer and fill the crack.
 Move to the next packer when the crack is filled with resin in that area.
 Remove all packers after full setting of the injection product.
