These hardy apple cultivars are grown on Ottawa #3 dwarfing rootstocks. Mature plants will be
approximately 50% smaller in size than apple trees growing on standard rootstock.

The advantages of dwarf apples:

1. The trees will begin to bear fruit earlier; significant fruit production may be two years earlier than
with apple trees growing on a standard rootstock.
2. The trees are smaller and will take up less space in your yard. The result is less cost and effort
to maintain and harvest.
3. By fruiting earlier, dwarf apple trees reduce the vigorous vegetative growth and make the tree
more winter hardy.
