Large fruit, striped red over light yellow. Excellent for cooking. Matures in mid-September. Tree is
very cold hardy. Introduced by Boughen Nursery, Valley River, Manitoba in 1934.

Research Station in 1952.

A heavy producing cherry tree with excellent tasting fruit. Cold hardy for the prairie region. The
bright red fruit is large, semi-sweet and delicious. Self-pollinating.
New Red Bounty - New listing for 2010. A selection from the University of Saskatchewan with larger
fruit, easier berry detachment and improved cold hardiness to Boyne.
Souris - an improved selection of ‘Boyne’ because it is better tasting, a heavier producer of fruit
and has better spider mite resistance.
Fall Bearing - Primocane (produce fruit on current seasons canes) Double Delight Raspberry
Double Delight - this hardy raspberry has large fruit with a delicious, sweet tangy taste. The height
of this upright plant exceeds 4 feet.
Red River - another delicious tasting raspberry that is slightly smaller than 'Double Delight'. Cas-
cading plant form; the height does not exceed 3 feet.

Blueberries require an acidic soil with pH in the range of 4.5 to 5.5 for best results. Prairie soils can
be amended with peat moss to lower pH, however heavy poorly-drained soils should be avoided.
