Most researchers and farmers alike use organic fertilizers in during their experiments.
These organic fertilizers are easy to make and is even environmentally friendly. Organic
fertilizers are food wastes that have been decomposed into nutrients that plants can
absorb.
Most farmers use organic fertilizers due to its easy creation and its low budget. What
they don’t know is that sometimes these types of fertilizers are not always effective in
growing plants. There are also some research papers that have no data regarding the
amount of time spent on growing the pechay, the amount of growth that pechay received
when fertilizer was added compared to when fertilizer was not added, the types of
fertilizers used, the growth speed of pechay after adding fertilizer, and etc.
The contribution of the present study in addressing the research gap
Our research can help fill in these missing data outputs. As seen from the title of our
research, we are using inorganic fertilizers compared to organic fertilizers. We are also
using two types of inorganic fertilizers so that we can compare on which fertilizer can
bring out the most out of the pechay i.e. how much growth it had, the amount of its yield,
and the time it took for it to grow. Our research also plans on finding out which inorganic
fertilizer is best to use by comparing these two fertilizers. We will compare them based
on how much nutrients they contain, which one is easier to find, and which one is the
cheapest to buy when you are on a tight budget.
