Goal 1
During this school year, I want to successfully manage my new Kindergarten student
that has an IEP for behavioral issues. My goal is to use techniques that improve his
behavior and to find out how I can calm him before he is set off. The administrator's
goal is to protect all of the students from harm and from the student harming
himself. I have to act in a way that will protect all of my students from harm. I do not
want it to get this far. I want to provide a calm and loving classroom above all.

Evidence of Goal Attainment
I will know that I have achieved my goal by comparing the number of referrals the
student had last year to the number he will not have this school year. Also, by
assessing the students interactions with myself and the students, I will know that
we have achieved our goal.
Targeted Completion Date
My targeted completion date will be every 9 weeks, however I will also want to
assess this on a weekly basis. Allowing behavior issues to go on for too long will
provide a disconnect in the students learning as well as the other students abilify to
achieve their goals.

During this school year, I want to be able to provide engaging activities that will
allow my Special Education students to connect to the content in a way that will
dramatically improve their goals and learning achievement.

I will work with our Special Education department to get ideas and help with lesson
planning in a way that works for Sped students. I will also attend professional
development that focuses on how to improve the education of Sped students. I will
also do my own research regarding ways and ideas in teaching Sped students so that
they reach their maximum potential.

I will look at the assessments every 9 weeks to make sure that students are on
target.
Evidence of Goal Attainment
I will continually assess my students and compare their progress. I will adjust my
teaching practice as needed and try new strategies as needed. The evidence will be
in the achievements of the students.

During this school, I want to learn how to implement technology into my lesson
plans and learn more about the apps that will best benefit my Kindergarten
students.

I will reach this goal by attending professional development working with my
Kindergarten team, and doing my own research based on what students are
working on in other classrooms around the country.

I anticipate my goal being met as soon as the 2,d 9 weeks of school. It is important to
learn about the apps and other ways to implement technology into my classroom as
soon as possible.

I will know that I have achieved my goal when I am comfortable working with the
technology needed in the classroom as well as making easy transitions in the daily
